Mayor Lee Announces Full Funding for GoSolarSF Program

Mayor Edwin M. Lee today announced that the City’s successful solar initiative, GoSolarSF, will receive an additional $2 million in funding for the fiscal year 2013-2014. The additional allocation will increase the total funds available for GoSolarSF financial incentives starting July 1, 2013 to $4 million. GoSolarSF funds will be available for all incentive categories, which include residential, low-income residential, business and non-profit.

Mayor Edwin M. Lee today celebrated the opening of the San Francisco Police Department Central Market Safety Hub on Sixth Street. Increased beat officers and service providers will increase community outreach, stabilization and crime prevention to improve neighborhood safety and cleanliness. The Central Market Safety Hub is a key component of the Central Market Economic Strategy, a roadmap to guide the City’s efforts to create jobs, stabilize the community and transform the quality of life for the neighborhood’s residents, visitors, merchants, and nearby businesses.
