Mayor Edwin M. Lee and San Francisco Interfaith Council Executive Director Michael Pappas today issued the following joint statement on helping homeless residents and providing shelter for those that need it during the cold, wet winter season and anticipated El Niño storms.
Mayor Edwin M. Lee today launched the second year of the Shop & Dine in the 49 initiative challenging residents to do all their shopping and dining within the 49 square miles of San Francisco this holiday season and all year long.
Mayor Edwin M. Lee cut the ribbon on the new acute care and trauma center at San Francisco General Hospital and dedicated the official campus name in honor of donors Dr. Priscilla Chan and Mark Zuckerberg.
Mayor Edwin M. Lee joined by Supervisor Jane Kim, the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA), Vision Zero Coalition and other city agencies, announced the completion of the 24th Vision Zero project.
Mayor Edwin M. Lee and Supervisor Breed announced the historic transfer of 15 public housing sites and 1,425 units to community-based nonprofit ownership as part of the Mayor’s 2013 Re-Envisioning Public Housing Plan.
