Technical Assistance and Capacity Building
MOCI’s priority is to build the capacity of MOCI-funded community basedorganizations and other community partners serving the low- andmoderate-income population of San Francisco by sharing best practices,providing the necessary tools and resources and strengthening theirinfrastructure. MOCI works with CompassPoint Nonprofit Services toprovide its agencies with opportunities to improve their organizationalinfrastructure; assess agencies’ organizational health and help themaddress any issues; and partner with the Northern California CommunityLoan Fund to assist its agencies improve their financial managementsystems.

Opportunity Fund provides small business loans to low-income entrepreneurs who cannot qualify for a traditional bank loan.
