Information About SF Find
Mayor Gavin Newsom is commited to connecting the citizens of San Francisco with the City services and resources that are available to them. This has led to the creation of SF FIND. Designed and built in collaboration with the Department of Telecommunications & Information Services (DTIS), MONS has created a powerful new tool utilizing Enterprise Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology that can help constituents find such things as their nearest Post Office, public schools, libraries, health care facilities or homeless shelters, and much more.
You can also find which MUNI lines to use to get there. And that’s only the beginning!
We are constantly looking for ways to expand and improve the amount and quality of the information we can provide to the people of San Francisco with this cutting-edge technology. Our primary goal is to make it as easy as possible for San Franciscans to access the City services and resources they deserve.
Special thanks for bringing this project to fruition: the DTIS team of Erich Seamon, Sam Kwong, Richard Isen, Marco Bruno & Umesh Gupta, et al; the MONS Website team of Daniel Homsey, Director of MONS, and Thomas Schedler, SF FIND Project Manager; everyone else that gave of their time and energies to this project.
