Mayor Lee’s Statement on Board of Supervisors’ Support of CPMC Rebuild
Mayor Edwin M. Lee today issued the following statement on the Board of Supervisors’ first vote of unanimous support for a new plan to rebuild California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC)’s healthcare facilities:
“Because of the Board of Supervisors, we are back on track to rebuild two of the City’s most important hospitals to ensure quality healthcare for patients and guarantee seismic safety for generations of San Franciscans. A coalition of leaders including members of our Board of Supervisors, staff from my office and CPMC worked closely with Lou Giraudo to come together to form this agreement to rebuild CPMC. This is an unprecedented investment in the future of our City, and I am very grateful to Board President Chiu and Supervisors Campos and Farrell for the extraordinary amount of leadership and time to get us to this point.”
