Mayor Lee's Statement On The Aftermath Of The Fire At The Chinese Consulate In San Francisco's Western Addition Neighborhood
Mayor Edwin M. Lee today issued the following statement in the aftermath of yesterday’s fire at the Chinese Consulate in San Francisco’s Western Addition neighborhood:
“I am grateful that no one was injured during yesterday’s fire at the San Francisco Chinese Consulate. On behalf of our City, I want to express my sorrow for our residents and consulate employees who are affected and also relief for their safety.
I thank the brave men and women of the San Francisco Fire Department for safely extinguishing this fire and preventing damage to nearby homes and businesses. The San Francisco Fire and Police Departments will work closely with the Federal Bureau of Investigations to identify and apprehend the perpetrators of this crime and bring them to justice.”
